Professor Scott Mabury (Dept. of Chemistry) has been appointed to Vice-President, University Operations, for a five-year term effective January 1, 2012.  Scott's portfolio, as VP University Operations, will now include Information Technology Services, Campus and Facilities Planning, Office of Space Management, Real Estate Operations, Facilities and Services, Ancillary Services, and the Office of Planning and Budget.  He has served as Vice-Provost, Academic Operations from 2009 to 2011 where he was responsible for University-wide budget, space, and information technology matters.

Dr. Mabury's research focusses on understanding the mechanisms and pathways that control the environmental fate, dissipation, and persistence of chemical pollutants, such as fluorinated pollutants.
