Professor Meredith Franklin is the PI of a grant from the National Institutes of Health ($3.6M over 5 years) entitled “Environmental Influences on Aging: Effects of Extreme Weather and Disaster Events on Aging Populations”. She will be examining the role of drought and wildfire induced air pollution on short- and long-term health effects in women.
