 ife and work of Professor Emeritus Douglas Macdonald.D﻿ouglas Macdonald wa
 s a central pillar to the work of the School of the Environment in its man
 y incarnations, designing many of our core programs, and establishing a 
 strong research presence in environmental studies at U of T. He retired in
  June 2017 after a 30-year contribution to the University of Toronto and t
 he scholarly fields of environmental policy analysis, and environmental s
 tudies.Following his retirement, Professor Macdonald released his 2020 bo
 ok, Carbon Province, Hydro Province, which inspired the creation of Cli
 mate Talk Canada/Parlons climat Canada (CTC-PCC). Doug passed away on Apri
 l 14, 2022 after a courageous struggle with cancer.T﻿he day will consist 
 of two panels featuring members of the School of the Environment and Clima
 te Talk Canada/Parlons climat Canada (CTC-PCC) and an open session reflect
 ing on his life and legacy. Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.
