About the Seminar

Health care systems are both major contributors to environmental impacts and increasingly vulnerable to climate-related risks. This seminar explores how hospitals and health systems can reduce their environmental footprint while enhancing resilience.

We will discuss the main sources of health-sector emissions, methods to measure and monitor environmental performance, and strategies for decarbonizing care delivery. The session will also highlight the intersections between sustainability, quality of care, and health system efficiency, and consider the roles of policy, financing, and clinical practice in driving change.
