About the Seminar

Even though we face profound risk to our way of life it has been very difficult to actually secure the action needed to protect our society from global heating. As heating accelerates and risks increase we need to look at what has blocked action and what steps we will need to succeed in this fight.

About the Speaker

Peter Tabuns

Peter Tabuns is a Member of Provincial Parliament and the Ontario NDP Shadow Minister for Environment, Conservation and Parks. He has been working on climate and environmental issues for over 35 years. He has organized on environmental issues at the grassroots level. Been a member of Toronto City Council where he led the fight to set up the City's energy efficiency program for commercial buildings, the Better Buildings Partnership. Served as Climate Advisor to former federal NDP leader Jack Layton and also was head of Greenpeace Canada.
