About the Seminar
Journalist Molly Segal shares her experiences as a climate change journalist for CBC Radio's What On Earth, where she has worked since July 2020.
About the Speaker

Molly Segal (LinkedIn)
Molly Segal is a reporter, producer and documentary-maker, whose audio work focuses on climate change, environment and science. Her work has taken her to the UN climate talks in Glasgow, to mountain tops in search of grizzlies, to southern Alberta’s wind energy corridor, and more. Molly was a 2019-2020 Knight Science Journalism Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she studied the history of scientific misinformation and climate change technologies at Harvard University. Since July 2020, she’s worked with CBC Radio’s What On Earth, which won the inaugural Canadian Journalism Foundation award for climate solutions coverage. Her documentary work on the personal toll of climate activism on women won a Covering Climate Now Award. She has given talks on field reporting, audio and climate journalism to universities and institutions in Canada, the U.S. and Germany.
