Exploring the role of expository journalism in factory farming news and media in relation to the broader sphere of climate change communication.

What interested you in the MES program?

I was drawn to the MES program for the opportunity to pursue an education that combines my diverse interests in climate justice, communication, and media. I am also incredibly excited to engage in intersectional research alongside others who specialize in my field.

What aspects of the program do you enjoy? What did you hope to gain/are currently gaining from the program?

I'm looking forward to the interdisciplinary nature of the program that will allow me to engage in coursework that spans multiple fields. I hope to gain a deeper understanding of complex environmental issues, as well as personal growth in becoming a better communicator and advocate for climate change awareness and action.

Future Aspirations (career, education, etc.)

I hope to continue my education in the environmental humanities through a Ph.D. and pursue a career in environmental advocacy
