EcoTone: Undergraduate Environmental Review, Volume VI

March 6, 2026 by School of the Environment

There is a question that quietly underlies much of environmental scholarship: Not simply what is wrong, but what is possible. EcoTone’s sixth volume does not shy away from the former but is animated by the latter. It is a reflection of the city it calls home. Tkaronto (the original Mohawk name for our city) sits on the Dish with One Spoon Territory. A place whose name long preceded the city that now sprawls across it. We are extremely lucky to call this place home, whether for four years or for a lifetime. It is a city of extraordinary density–of peoples, cultures, ecosystems, and contradictions.
