What interested you in the MES program?

The interdisciplinary nature of the program which enables me to focus on food systems in a more holistic manner that assesses environmental and human factors together. Additionally, I am delighted to work with Professor Classens who has worked extensively with alternate food systems in his own research.

What aspects of the program do you enjoy? What did you hope to gain/are currently gaining from the program?

I hope to be able to gain a more detailed understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of environmental concerns, such as food systems, and how solutions might be developed by working with multiple perspectives and disciplines.
