Professor Jessica F. Green analyzes a report on the economic benefits of a carbon tax rebate

Professor Jessica F. Green, an associate professor at the Department of  of Political Science and the School of the Environment at the University of Toronto, commented on  Financial Accountability Officer Peter Weltman’s report on what would happen if Ottawa used a carbon dividend to rebate households. “It’s not just about what the tax is, it’s about what is done with the revenue and that’s an important message for the federal government to sell, as it faces growing opposition to its plan to impose a carbon price,” said Professor Green.
