Why did you choose to study in the School of the Environment?

I chose to study in the School of the Environment for a multitude of reasons, but to sum it up quickly, it was truly the perfect department for me. The School allowed me to explore my many interests in environmental research and activism, and the tight-knit community allowed me to foster amazing relationships with like-minded individuals.

What is your favorite memory from your time with the School?

My favourite memory from my time with the School took place throughout my fourth and final year of studies as the Co-President of the university's Environmental Students' Union (ENSU). I made so many great friends and had lots of fun during this time, I actually can't pick one specific memory. But it would definitely be from my time on ENSU overall. I will always advocate for joining extracurriculars in university!

How have you been affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic? What are your thoughts about the future?

The COVID-19 pandemic was a period of growth. Though it was tumultuous and frightening at times, it allowed me to be more grateful and appreciative of everything that truly matters to me. I hope that these lessons I have learned translate into my future in the field of environment, allowing me to become the best version of myself I can be, and utilize this version of me to make the world a better place. I am hopeful about the future.
