Jackman Faculty of Law invite you to join us on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, from 5 - 7 PM in Room 100A at the Jackman Humanities Building (170 St. George St., Toronto, ON, M5R 2M8) for a talk with Professor Helena Whalen-Bridge, Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore.
Professor Helena Whalen-Bridge will discuss the intersection of narrative and law as it applies to the issue of environmental personhood, by which nature or natural entities such as rivers and their stewarts are assigned legal rights, protections and privileges.
