Toward Transformative Sustainability Pedagogies — Session One: Anishinaabe Teachings on Sustainability

Centering sustainability at the University of Toronto requires critiquing and re-imagining the ways that teaching and learning occurs in higher education. This series of interactive talks focuses on exploring pedagogies that are used to teach sustainability, and how they can be aligned with equity, inclusion and transformative approaches. In this first session, Indigenous knowledge and worldviews will be positioned as a starting point. Dr. Nicole Bell will introduce Anishinaabe Teachings on Sustainability, and facilitate discussions with U of T faculty, staff and students.
