Description
Trinity Reads and the School of the Environment invite you to join us on Thursday, November 6th, 2025, from 12 PM - 2 PM in the Rigby Room at St. Hilda’s College for a lunch & learn session with author and ecological engineer Dr. Nadina Galle.
Trinity Reads is a new campus-wide initiative that encourages students, staff, faculty and alumni to read outside the classroom and engage with contemporary Canadian stories as a catalyst for conversation and connection. Modelled after CBC’s highly successful Canada Reads program, Trinity Reads highlights five shortlisted titles that speak to current conversations about sustainability – including The Nature of Our Cities by Dr. Nadina Galle.
In this talk, Dr. Galle will reveal how technology — once seen as nature’s enemy — can be its most unlikely ally. With powerful case studies and her own adventures as a National Geographic Explorer, she shows how innovation can make the invisible visible and the everyday extraordinary. Her mission: to spark everyday connections to nearby nature — and to invite us all to help build healthier, happier, more resilient communities for people and planet alike.
